In short

The Scuola Internazionale del Patrimonio Culturale (International School of Cultural Heritage – ISCH) of the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali (FSBAC) is a permanent laboratory bringing together Italian and foreign professionals of the cultural heritage sector with the aim of fostering mutual learning and exchange perspectives and best practices on innovative approaches and solutions on the daily practice of the care and management of the cultural heritage.

The 2022 Programme of the International School of Cultural Heritage will concentrate on digital and technologies for research, care and enhancement of archaeological heritage.

The topic was identified through the progressive consultations with the authorities from the invited countries and the respective Permanent Delegations to UNESCO.

During three weeks, all the participants will take part in a series of webinars alternating lectures and presentations of cases in research institutions, cultural and archaeological sites and museums, where technologies have interesting applications, and discussions.

The aim of this online module is to provide all participants with an overview of the different "categories" of technologies, with related functionality and areas of application, by offering a panorama of interesting cases and best practices of development and management of applied technologies in Italian archaeological heritage.

The proposed reflections are set to be the starting point for a collaborative exchange between professionals and administrators who operate in the different countries involved in the project.
