In short

"OPEN DOORS. Il museo partecipativo oggi" will take place from 25 May to 23 November 2022. It is a cycle of talks wich involves the most important experts in the management and enhancement of Italian and international contemporary cultural heritages.

The initiative, curated by Pierluigi Sacco, is promoted and organized by the Fondazione Brescia Musei in collaboration with the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali and with NEMO - Network of European Museum Organizations.

The series of meetings focuses on the idea of a "participatory museum", on audience development actions aimed at creating a sense of welcome and inclusion for the public that does not usually go to museums. We intend to  investigate the various museum models that propose open and inclusive trategic plans beyond any possible educational or socio-economic barrier: the museum as a space for social exchange based on active participation.

The cycle cover eight areas: Cohesion and social connection - Empowerment Education Diversity Wellness and healing - Creativity and expression - Co-creation - Involvement - Problem solving
